Purpose

To gather information, provide expert advice and foster coordination in the combined fields of atmospheric and volcanological science and associated applications to support aeronautical meteorological service provision as well as informed decisions by ICAO and other relevant aviation stakeholders in the context of the international airways volcano watch (IAVW).
