Aviation | News | 2022-08-05 | REGISTER NOW for a WMO Voluntary Cooperation Programme (VCP) Online Workshop on Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR)
The Hong Kong Observatory (HKO) will host an online workshop on Light Detection and Ranging (LIDAR) from 13 to 16 September 2022.
The workshop aims to advance the capacity building of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Members who are interested to upgrade their aviation weather services to meet aviation needs. Aviation forecasters and researchers are welcome to attend the online workshop.
Preference will be given to WMO Members in Regional Associations II (Asia) and V (South-West Pacific) V whose air traffic is increasing rapidly.
It is planned that approximately 40 participants in total will be accepted. The workshop will be conducted in English.
The closing date to register for the workshop is 19 August 2022.
