- Versions of GRIB (26.0.0) and of BUFR and CREX (35.0.0), were effective 16 November 2020.
- The version number may consist of three parts: FORMAL (operational updates), SUB-1 (pre-operational updates) and SUB-2 (others, such as editorial corrections) numbers, delimited by a full stop ".".
- The txt/xml (zip) files contain operational entries of GRIB, BUFR, CREX and common code tables. These could be incorporated in operational encoders/decoders.
- If there are inconsistencies between the same entries available below and the Manual on Codes, Volume I.2 (WMO-No. 306), the Manual prevails.
