Incident Management System for RWC

WMO, supported by ECMWF, launched a prototype of the Incident Management System as a fundamental system to achieve WIGOS priority areas (2020 – 2023), the deployment of Regional WIGOS Centres. RWCs in their pilot phase is expected to lay solid foundations for a transition to a subsequent operational phase. The system is intended for RWCs to perform one of their mandatory functions,

for the registration and follow-up of WDQMS (WIGOS data quality monitoring system) issues identified in the quality evaluation process. The workflow refers to the WDQMS incident management procedure, as explained in the WMO-No.1224, Technical Guidelines for Regional WIGOS Centres on the WIGOS Data Quality Monitoring System.
It can be accessed by registered users i.e. Regional WIGOS Centres, National WDQMS focal points and Monitoring Centres. The more details of the systems and other related WDQMS material are available in the WIGOS Learning Portal https://etrp.wmo.int/course/view.php?id=173
