The 2nd Task Team Meeting of the WMO Global Hydrological Status and Outlook System (HydroSOS) was held in Wallingford, UK from 04-06 April 2018 to discuss upcoming arrangements and possible future work plan. 

The goal of the meeting was to check the activities progress of the WMO Hydrological Status And Outlook System (HydroSOS) project, and discuss deliverables, work packages, milestones and task teams. The main achievements of the meeting were:

  1. The overall working structure of the project has been reviewed and some rearranging done for efficiency reason. Cross-linkages between work packages will be crucial.
  2. Deliverables for the first year have been identified, to be refined by the Work package leaders. Based on this, work plans will be developed and task team members identified.
  3. HydroSOS technical developments will feed into and benefit from other WMO activities like GDPFS, GMAS, and WIS.
  4. A demonstrator will showcase HydroSOS potential.
