The present publication, State of the Climate in 2007, complements the WMO Statement on the Status of the Global Climate in 2007 (WMO-No. 1039) and provides a more comprehensive description of climate extremes and anomalies throughout the world. Both were the outcome of extensive collaboration among different climate institutions, in particular with the United States National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s National Climatic Data Center.
