Objectives:
The work of the Expert Team on Agrometeorological Data Issues (ET-ADI) is related to Output (h) of the Terms of Reference of the Standing Committee on Services for Agriculture (SC-AGR) on "Review and update regulatory/technical documents with regards to the Drought National early warning services (EWS) Implementation Plan, Regional Agrometeorological/Drought Centres, and Rolling Review of Requirements, and linking observational data from agrometeorological networks from partners into WIS, WIGOS, and the WMO Integrated Processing and Prediction System (WIPPS)). This includes the following activities:
- Updating and maintaining the Rolling Review of Requirements for Agricultural Meteorology;
- Explore linking observational data from agrometeorological networks from partners (Such as FAO) into WIS, WIGOS, and the WMO Integrated Processing and Prediction System (WIPPS).
- Explore the establishment of any regional drought or agrometeorological center.
- Liaise with the relevant INFCOM subsidiary bodies if needed on items a), b) and c).
