Terms of Reference
To support the regional implementation of RA VI-17 Resolution 1, and namely:
To assist RA VI Members in the effort led by the Flood Forecasting Initiative Advisory Group to assess their flood forecasting capabilities by, for example, undertaking an initial pilot application of the developed assessment guidelines.
To promote and support within RA VI the adoption of appropriate technologies and recommended practices and procedures to advance Member capabilities to provide early warning of hydrometeorological hazards.
To report to the RA VI WG on Services on the status of activities and plans
Timeframe: Initial timeframe is 2021-2022 till the implementation of the RA VI-17 Resolution 1
Meetings: Mostly remotely, as often as needed; Physical meetings or missions to be considered according to the work plan of the Team
Deliverables:
a) Implemented Assessment Guidelines (AG) in SEE-MHEWS project as a pilot case
b) Proposed AG for self-assessment (in the voluntary countries)— (report)
c) RA VI Survey on hydrology models and technology template
