Terms of Reference
The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) Regional Association II (Asia) Task Team on Early Warnings for All (RA II TT-EW4All) will serve, under the direction of the RA II Management Group (MG) and the general oversight of the president of RA II, and taking into account the WMO Road Map for EW4All, the Action Plan for infrastructure components contributing to EW4All, and the SERCOM Work Plan the following Terms of Reference (ToR):
(1) Regularly monitor the progress in EW4All implementation in RA II based on inputs from RA II Working Groups (WGs) and Coordination Panels (CPs);
(2) Facilitate the aggregation of regional requirements and inform and strengthen implementation of EW4All-related activities at the regional, subregional and national level in close collaboration with the RA II WGs and CPs and with the support of the WMO Secretariat;
(3) Regularly consult with the relevant substructures of RA II, the technical commissions, the Research Board, Capacity Development Panel, and other bodies as necessary; and
(4) Regularly report to the RA II MG, and through the president of RA II to WMO Technical Coordination Committee (TCC) and through the RA II representatives for the MGs of the Commission for Observation, Infrastructure and Information Systems (INFCOM) and Commission for Weather, Climate, Hydrological, Marine and Related Environmental Services and Applications (SERCOM) on the progress of activities supporting the EW4All initiative in RA II and to take direction from the RA II MG, TCC, SERCOM Standing Committee on Disaster Risk Reduction and Early Warning Services (SC-DRR), Executive Council (EC), and Congress on the future advancement of the initiative in RA II.
