• Review and consider recommendations and latest outcomes, if any, from the Advisory Group on Tropical Cyclones (AG-TC) and the WMO WWRP Tropical Cyclone Probabilistic Forecast Products project (TC-PFP) regarding tropical low/cyclone vortex parameter files.
• Provide recommendations on which vortex parameters should be designated as core (to be mandatory from all GDPFS Centres) and which should be recommended (e.g. only provided where model is of sufficiently high resolution).
• Establish detailed technical requirements on tropical low/cyclone vortex parameter files and propose updates to the Manual on the GDPFS (WMO-No. 485).
• In collaboration with the Expert Team on Data Standards (ET-Data) and the Task Team on NWP Products Metadata (TT-NWPMD), support the development of dissemination format and metadata requirement of tropical low/cyclone vortex parameter files.
• Regularly report to ET-OWFS on the progress of the task team activities.
