Terms of Reference
The Committee on Infrastructure (C-INF) will work under the guidance of the RA III President and Management Group, in cooperation and collaboration with the relevant bodies, according to the following ToRs.
(1) Lead the development of infrastructure-related activities in the RA III Implementation Plan 2024–2027.
(2) Work in coordination with the Commission for Observation, Infrastructure and Information Systems (INFCOM), to ensure that global activities are reflected at the regional level, in accordance with the implementation activities by regional associations
description of the expanded World Weather Watch Programme (Resolution 25 (EC-78)).
(3) Assist the Secretariat in ensuring that resolutions and decisions emanating from Congress on infrastructure issues are implemented by Members at the regional level, suggesting remedial actions and advocating with Members for compliance.
(4) Review and update the needs and requirements of RA III countries for the implementation of the WMO Integrated Global Observing System (WIGOS), the WMO Information System (WIS) and the WMO Integrated Processing and Prediction System (WIPPS).
(5) Identify needs and assist in the provision of technical assistance and capacity building to Members on the implementation and the operation of WIGOS, WIS and WIPPS.
(6) Collect and convey to RA III Members the obligations in the execution, implementation, and operation of WIGOS and WIS in RA III, in close cooperation with C-HWR for issues related to WHOS.
(7) Facilitate cooperation on observations, data exchange and access to the global data and products provided by WIPPS Designated Centres among RA III Members for operational and research purposes.
(8) Advise the Management Group in the elaboration of the Implementation Plan of the Region and the survey of the most urgent regional needs included in the WMO Strategic Plan.
