Terms of Reference
The Expert Team on Observations Exchange and Information System (ET-WIS) will work under the guidance of C-INF, in cooperation and collaboration with the relevant bodies, according to the following terms of reference.
(1) Examine and update user needs and requirements with respect to the implementation of WIS2.0;
(2) Promote the exchange of information on WIS 2.0 demonstration projects and their results in the region;
(3) Advise and support the infrastructure committee regarding Information Systems related activities;
(4) Advise and provide guidance to RA III countries on the implementation of WIS2BOX;
(5) Provide technical assistance and capacity building to Members so that they are better able to carry out the implementation and operation of the WMO Information System (WIS);
(6) Assist in the implementation of products developed under regional projects.
