On notification of retirement, please add the person to this group, and if appropriate first deactivate them in other groups. ie sometimes people retire and don't stop WMO so need to be kept active in roles and in retiree list.
If the person is not to remain active, then deactivate them in all groups then deactivate their primary entry
On occasions, if someone wants to be removed from the database, first delete them from groups, then remove the person from the database.
