Joint CBS/OPAG-IOS and ICG-WIGOS GBON drafting group
The Joint CBS/OPAG-IOS and ICG-WIGOS GBON drafting group Workshop was held at the WMO Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland, from 17 to 19 February 2020. The session was chaired by Michel Jean (Canada), President of INFCOM. The workshop was organized as a follow up of Resolution 34 (Cg-18).
The goal of the workshop was to develop draft provisions for GBON, together with draft process for the nomination, review and approval of the composition of the GBON.
Based on the outcomes of discussion and workshop guidance, the draft provisions and process were finalized by the Secretariat and these versions are reproduced in Appendix II and Appendix III respectively.
Note that the preparation of these drafts will be finalized by the Study Group on GBON Implementation (SG-GBON), upon which they will be submitted to the Infrastructure Commission for its recommendation. Comments and edits resulting from discussions during and after the meeting are therefore deliberately left at this stage.
