The World Meteorological Organization (WMO), Climate Risk and Early Warning Systems (CREWS) and Severe Weather Forecasting Programme (SWFP), West and Central Africa Training Workshop was held face to face N'Djamena, Chad 23-27 May, 2022.  The training was facilitated by the Agence Nationale de l'Aviation Civile et de la Météorologie (ANACIM), through the Regional Specialize Meteorological Centre (RSMC) Dakar, in collaboration with the National Meteorological Agency of Chad (ANAM).

The focus was on Forecasting and Warning Services due to the Impacts of Extreme Weather Phenomena. Numerical Weather Prediction (NWP) products, Impact-based Forecast and Warning Services (IBFWS) and the Common Alerting Protocol (CAP) were featured. 

This 5 day intense workshop, attended by over 30 participants comprised presentations, discussions, practical exercises, assignments and a site visit to ANAM. The training workshop details can be accessed here.
