RA II Technical Workshop on Marine and Coastal Services will be held in Tokyo, Japan from 4 to 7 December 2023, kindly hosted by the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA). The workshop is held as a follow-up to the survey ET-MS carried out, on current marine services of RA II Members to identify regional requirements, gaps and needs in relation to marine and coastal services.

Purpose

The purpose of this Workshop is to share the results of the survey, identify gaps, discuss regional priorities, and develop a draft proposal of future activities, including regional products from relevant Regional Specialized Meteorological Centres (RSMCs). It will be aligned with the United Nations Early Warnings for All (EW4All) initiative and its scope will include cross-regional cooperation with RA V.
