Third meeting of RA II Task Team on the Regional Concept (TT-RC)
General Information
The reform of the WMO Regional Concept follows the successful reform of the WMO Technical Commissions and is driven by the need to make WMO a “fit-for-purpose” and “fit-for-future” organization. WMO is seeking to increase its efficiency, effectiveness and impact in a rapidly changing world, where issues of weather, climate, water and environment have evolved into significant global political, social and economic concerns.
The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the possible update of the RA II working structure. The goal is to develop a draft resolution on an updated working structure to be submitted to RA II-18, phase 1, to be held from 9-12 September 2024.
