WMO Integrated Global Observing System (WIGOS) Implementation Workshop for the WMO Regional Association II (RA-II) Members

 

Overview

The WMO Integrated Global Observing System (WIGOS) Implementation Workshop for the WMO Regional Association II (RA II) Members will be held in Beijing, China, from 27 to 30 November 2023, at the kind invitation of the China Meteorological Administration (CMA). The Workshop will be conducted in English in a hybird way. 

The purpose of the Workshop is to address the needs of and provide necessary support to RA II Members towards ensuring full implementation of WIGOS, and better respond to the requirements of the UN Early Warnings for All initiative (EW4All). The following topics will be covered during the Workshop: the Global Basic Observing Network (GBON), the Regional Basic Observing Network (RBON), the WMO Rolling Review of Requirements (RRR), operational weather radar networks and related data exchange, Aircraft Meteorological Data Relay (AMDAR) and Regional Centres supporting WIGOS.
