Series of Webinars on "Nowcasting Operations and Techniques: Perspectives for South America", an event to be held online on the first Friday each month at 18:00 UTC.
Join us to explore the nowcasting and very-short range forecasting of local convective storms to improve operational nowcasting activities in South America. The seminars are held online and given by professionals with long experience in topics such as research to operations process, operational application of products from modern remote sensing observing systems and numerical models, general coordination of weather services, communication of severe weather warnings, data collection procedures for forecast verification, and artificial intelligence algorithms, all of them as related to nowcasting of convective storms.
Who should attend?
The talks are delivered with weather forecasters and decision-makers who utilize weather and climate information in mind, as well as researchers and students in the atmospheric sciences field.
