Tables extracted from the Manual on Codes, Volume I.2

NOTES:
(1)     The latest versions, 26(.1.0) (BUFR and CREX), are effective as from 22 September 2016.

          The version number may consist of three parts: formal version number (for operational updates).sub-1 (for pre-
          operational updates).sub-2 (others, such as editorial corrections).  The editorial corrections are made for the
          consistency with the Manual on Codes, Volume I.2 (WMO No. 306) to be published and usually incorporated in
          the formal version.

(2)      Tables and templates (docx, pdf) in the "Latest" column contain operational and pre-operational (in Italic)
          entries, both of which could be used in operational data and products.

(3)      Entries "under validation" and "validation complete but waiting for effective date", i.e. non-operational entries,
          are available separately in the non-operational column (docx, pdf). Please note that non-operational entries
          may not be used in operational data and products, and validation entries may be modified during validation
          process.

(4)      The txt/xml (zip) files in the "Latest" column contain operational and pre-operational entries of GRIB, BUFR,
          CREX and common code tables. These could be incorporated in operational encoders/decoders.

(5)      The text/xml (zip) files in the non-operational column contain operational, pre-operational and non-operational
          entries, which are specifically made for validation purposes and may assist checking integrity of new entries
          to be proposed.

(6)      The following previous versions are also available from HERE.

(7)      BUFR version 13 and CREX version 5 have backward compatibility.

(8)      If there are inconsistencies between the same entries available below and the Manual on Codes, Volume I.2
          (WMO-No. 306), the Manual prevails.
