Forecast Verifications

The accuracy of forecast products provided by advanced GDPFS Centres is monitored by objective verification procedures. The goal is to provide consistent standardized verification of the forecast products of GDPFS Centres so that users can make best use of products and Centres can identify opportunities for improvement.

Lead Centres for verification play an essential role in the coordination of verification and have responsibility for maintaining websites containing verification results and relevant guidance, ensuring that users benefit from a consistent presentation of the results.
