Aviation | Services | Implementation Areas
For the period 2024 to 2027, WMO has determined that its work in the Services for Aviation activity area should encompass implementation areas that include (but are not limited to):
- Education, training and competency of personnel involved in the provision of meteorological services for aviation
- Weather and climate science for aviation applications
- Volcanic science for aviation applications
- Long-term planning in aeronautical meteorology
For these implementation areas and others the Organization, its Members and its partners are committed to building the necessary capability and capacity of aeronautical meteorological service providers - across both public and private sectors - to better enable them to fulfil their national and/or international obligations governed by national and/or international regulations.
