OSCAR/Surface Release 1.8 now available
We are happy to announce the release of a new version of the OSCAR/Surface application (https://oscar.wmo.int/surface). Since today, Tuesday, 20 September 2022, the release version 1.8.3 is available which includes the automatic synchronization of national focal points contacts between OSCAR/Surface database of registered users and the WMO experts/focal points contacts database.
Other important new features that are part of this release included the station clusters functionality and the search stations by declared and/or assessed reporting status.
Together with this release a migration of stations from GOS to GOS-General has been implemented, according to the updated code tables for Programme/network affiliations (http://codes.wmo.int/wmdr/_ProgramAffiliation).
To provide users with updated information on how to use the new features, the OSCAR/Surface user’s manual has been updated and made available online from this URL: https://library.wmo.int/index.php?lvl=notice_display&id=20824#.XaRg0a6Wapq.
As always, we look forward to receiving your feedback on this new release.
Thank you,
The WIGOS team
