WMO Position on the WRC-27 Agenda
WMO Position on the WRC-27 Agenda
The World Meteorological Organization (WMO), through its Expert Team on Radio Frequency Coordination (ET-RFC), developed the Preliminary WMO Position on the World Radiocommunication Conference 2027 agenda.
As WMO only has an observer status at these conferences, it is essential that the importance of the issues relevant to National Meteorological and Hydrological Services are properly recognized and accounted for by National Radiocommunication Authority acting at the conference.
The WMO Position on the WRC-27 agenda is therefore developed with the aim of assisting National Meteorological and Hydrological Service in coordination with their national spectrum regulator, in preparation to the WRC-27. National Meteorological and Hydrological Service are therefore encouraged to promote WMO’s positions on the relevant WRC-27 agenda items by engaging with their national spectrum regulator and seeking support from National Radiocommunication Authority on these items.
The preliminary WMO Position on the WRC-27 agenda (available in all UN languages) contains the positions on 19 agenda items of WRC-27 that are of prime interest or concern for WMO Members.
The preliminary WMO Position Paper was presented at the Training Workshop on Radio Frequency matters: Training Workshop on Radio Frequency matters (19 & 23 February 2024) | World Meteorological Organization (wmo.int).
