9th Hydrological Advisers Forum - RA III - South America
The 9th Hydrological Advisers Forum for Regional Association III - South America was held via videoconference on 2024. The meeting was chaired by Mr Fabio Bernal, Regional Hydrological Adviser, together with RA III Hydrological Advisers, Permanent Representatives, members of the RA III Working Group in Hydrology and Water Resources (WG-HWR), and WMO Secretariat.
The agenda for the forum was as follows:
- Welcome remarks
- Progress in the implementation of HydroSOS in Region III
- Project proposal for the Adaptation Fund
- Results of the pilot projects implemented in the Huallaga and Uruguay River basins
- Possible implementation of good practices in the interoperability of hydrological and water quality data
- Work Plan of the AR III and interaction with the activities of the Hydrological Services
- Delegation of experts to improve the representativeness of the region
- Assessment of training needs, particularly related to hydrometry and sediments
- Regional priorities in hydrology – inputs for the nineteenth meeting of the AR III
