World Meteorological Organization

The World Meteorological organization (WMO) Working Group on Weather, Climate, Hydrological, Marine and Related Environmental Services and Application (RA II WG Services) in Regional Association II (Asia) will convene an Aeronautical Meteorology Webinar 2025, online, on 24 June 2025 from 0600 to 0900 UTC. 

The webinar aims to: 

• Introduce the next generation volcanic hazard services for aviation, national and international actions to further improve the implementation of the international airways volcano watch (IAVW);
• Share warning and forecast practices for aviation hazardous weather impacting aviation;
• Share Member practices on the development of aerodrome nowcasting services; and
• Share latest developments in aviation weather services.

Registration for the webinar is now open (click here) and will close on 17 June 2025. Registration is free and open to all. 

The webinar will be especially relevant for managers and other aeronautical meteorological personnel working at aeronautical meteorological stations, aerodrome meteorological offices and meteorological watch offices.
