Second Session of the Scientific Advisory Panel (SAP-2)
Overview
The Second Session of the WMO Scientific Advisory Panel (SAP-2) was held 2 to 4 October 2023 at the WMO Headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland. This session provided an opportunity for SAP members to review outcomes from the 19th World Meteorological Congress (Cg-19) and 77th Session of the WMO Executive Council (EC-77), discuss activities for 2024-2027, identify membership gaps, and establish a process for selecting new members. Additionally, members discussed the development of a paper summarizing the SAP Science and Technology Vision Paper and revised the Terms of Reference of the SAP for approval at the 78th session of the WMO Executive Council (EC-78) in 2024.
