WMO Workshop: Building blocks towards Impact-Based Forecast and Warning Services (IBFWS) competency framework
The WMO Workshop: Building Blocks Towards an Impact-Based Forecast and Warning Services (IBFWS) Competency Framework will take place in Exeter, UK, from 10 to 14 November 2025.
The objective of the workshop is to define and develop a global IBFWS competency framework that enables a structured, consistent approach to capacity development. In parallel, it aims to strengthen the emerging IBFWS community of practice and reinforce the WMO IBFWS ecosystem, including the global Service Desk. Advancing the implementation of IBFWS is a strategic priority for WMO and a key milestone in the realization of the UN Early Warnings for All (EW4All) initiative.
