WMO Regional Instrument Centres (RICs) Workshop: Building a Community of RICs, 29 September 2025 (Online)
Purpose
The Standing Committee on Measurements, Instrumentation and Traceability (SC-MINT) of the Commission for Observation, Infrastructure and Information Systems (INFCOM) will organize the WMO Regional Instrument Centres (RICs) workshop on 29 Septembers 2025.
This online event, to be held in English, aims to bring together representatives from RICs to::
- Identify ways to enhance support for RICs and strengthen collaboration to improve their overall functionality.
- Discuss challenges faced by RICs in performing their tasks.
- Introduce existing resources and gather feedback on potential tools and mechanisms to support RICs.
Expected Outcomes:
- Establishment of a network of RIC staff able to support each other.
- Identification of common challenges faced by RICs and potential solutions.
- Identification of activities that could support RIC staff.
- Establishment of mechanisms and approaches to enhance collaboration and facilitate effective information exchange between RICs.
