General Site Information

Changsha Measurement Lead Centre for Ground Based Integrated Meteorological Observation mainly covers four activities:

• weather radar function test and evaluation

• experiments on radar key technologies improvement

• multi model radar observation data verification test

• observation and verification technology of ground-based remote sensing equipment

 

Based on the Changsha National Basic Meteorological Station and the existing instruments and verification test equipment at Changsha test-bed, Changsha Measurement Lead Center mainly focuses on ground-based remote sensing observation. It’s capabilities also include:

• study the air characteristic of south China through a full set of ground-based remote sensing instruments

 instruments intercomparison

• instruments calibration

• training on instruments usage and maintenance

• test new meteorology observation technology 

• carry on integrated technique research
