Dr Michael PRIOR-JONES is an electronic engineer by background, and his research interests relate to the development of new instruments for collecting data from the field, particularly in glaciology. He is a UKRI Future Leaders Fellow, working on open-source instruments for real-time data collection from glaciers and ice sheets. This includes the development of new instruments that measure snowpack, supraglacial streams, and englacial and subglacial conditions. Rémy GIRAUD is Head of the Infrastructure Department at Météo France. He has been working as an expert in WMO Secretariat since 2013. He is the Chair of Standing Committee of Information and Management and Technology (SC-IMT) under INFCOM, the member of INFCOM Management Group.
