WMO is pleased to announce that the Proceedings of the 2024 Aeronautical Meteorology Scientific Conference (AeroMetSci-2024) is now available here as Publication AeM SERIES No. 10 on the WMO e-Library.
The conference was held at WMO headquarters in Geneva, Switzerland from 21 to 25 October 2025 and was attended by more than 150 participants representing all six WMO regions.
The aim of the conference was to provide a forum for representatives of the scientific research community (including research institutes, universities and other academic institutions), aeronautical meteorological service providers (public and private sector), aviation users and industry representatives to raise awareness of the most recent innovations in aeronautical meteorology science and to discuss the need for further research and technological advancements in support of current and future air transport needs, in line with the appropriate strategy. This was the third such international conference convened by WMO dedicated to aeronautical meteorology science and technology.
Publication AeM SERIES No. 10 includes the keynote addresses, extended abstracts of oral presentations of the three conference sessions, short abstracts and screenshots of poster presentations, a summary of each panel discussion and a set of recommendations to guide domestic, regional and/or global strategies on scientific and technological advancement in support of meteorological service for international civil aviation.
All oral and poster presentations that were delivered during the conference, and their short abstracts, are available here on the AeroMetSci-2024 presentations homepage.
