Terms of Reference

TERMS OF REFERENCE
• Review the standardized verification procedures of global deterministic and ensemble NWP products, and propose updates as necessary.
• Review and consider latest results and recommendations, if any, from WWRP Joint Working Group on Forecast Verification Research (JWGFVR).
• Prepare the work plan till INFCOM-4 to update the standardized verification for submission to INFCOM-3 (2024).
• Review mandatory and recommended functions of relevant RSMCs and Lead Centres concerning product verification, and propose updates to the Manual on the GDPFS (WMO-No. 485) as necessary.
• Regularly report to ET-OWFS on the progress of the task team activities.
