Fifth Meeting of the Research Board (RB-5)
The fifth meeting of the Research Board was held in Geneva, Switzerland from 29 to 30 September 2022. Members provided updates on relevant activities, reviewed and discussed the current Terms of Reference, and brainstormed ideas for a potential workshop based on existing concept notes.
Outcomes include:
(1) to adopt the new World Weather Research Programme Implementation Plan 2024-2027;
(2) to take the lead on the Unified Data Policy Task #4 regarding data exchange with the research community;
(3) to draft a statement of support for the work of the Global Atmosphere Watch Programme;
(4) to create a working group to plan and implement a series of workshops that bring together and advance insights from the Science for Services and Innovation in Regions Concept Notes developed by the Research Board; and
(5) to redraft the Research Board Terms of Reference based on discussions during the meeting.
