WCM activities in the 19th Congress of WMO
The Nineteenth World Meteorological Congress (Cg-19) was taking place from 22 May to 2 June 2023 at the International Conference Centre of Geneva (CICG). The WCM set up a booth to enhanced awareness on the WCM and its role on the EW4All initiative. At the moment, a special event was set up dedicated to reflecting on the overall WCM mechanism during the event of tropical cyclone Mocha, where close collaboration between WMO networks has successfully integrate to strengthen anticipatory actions taken by humanitarian agencies, especially the UN Refugee Agency UNHCR.

The WCM clearly demonstrate that early warnings are effective in limiting risks to communities including forcibly displaced populations. Collaboration and effective communication that has been done, confirmed that WCM is pivotal in harnessing the full potential of the WMO community to enhance anticipatory action.
