WCM engagement in HNPW 2023
The Humanitarian Networks and Partnership Weeks is an annual humanitarian conference providing a collaborative space for practitioners and experts from humanitarian stakeholders including UN agencies, NGOs, the RedCross and Red Crescent movement, academia, military, private sector and Member States.
The HNPW 2023 was held from 17 to 28 April 2023. A session titled Early Warning for humanitarians - From impact estimation to mobilization, was co-organized by the European Commission Joint Research Center (JRC), IFRC and WMO on 27 April. This session aimed to bring together MHEWS providers, disaster managers and humanitarian actors and examined criterias for the decision to mobilize humanitarian organization, and how the Multi-Hazard Ealy Warning System (MHEWS) community support the decision-making process.
