Training courses

Based on the prioritised need of National Meteorological Hydrological Services (NMHS) for training courses and workshops, this component is designed to create a worldwide capacity for co-production, sustained delivery and efficient use of the whole suite of existing weather and climate services (W&CS) and development of new services, according to emerging needs of the energy sector during its transition to renewables, as its main objective. The component is comprised of four types of training, all of which aim to promote networking and establish a dialogue between service providers, including NMHSs, intermediaries and end users at national and regional levels. This will foster collaboration between all the Energy and Meteorology communities and will help to address major related challenges for the energy sector. Participants will receive the knowledge needed to understand the context, rationale, and objectives of W&CS for the energy sector. The following four types of training are designed for those providing W&CS for Energy, but also for actors belonging to the energy sector, each with its own purpose and target audience.
