Terms of Reference
The Committee on Services (C-SER) will work under the guidance of the RA III President and Management Group, in cooperation and collaboration with the relevant bodies, according to the following ToRs.
(1) Lead the development of services-related activities in the Implementation Plan 2024–2027.
(2) Work in coordination with the Commission for Weather, Climate, Hydrological, Marine and Related Environmental Services and Applications (SERCOM), to establish that global activities are reflected at the regional level.
(3) Review and update Members’ needs and requirements in the field of meteorological, climatic, hydrological (in close cooperation with C-HWR), marine and related environmental applications and services.
(4) Assist the Secretariat in ensuring that resolutions and decisions emanating from Congress on service issues are implemented by Members at the regional level, suggesting remedial actions and advocating with Members for compliance.
(5) Identify needs and assist in the provision of technical assistance and capacity building to Members on the implementation and the operation of meteorological, climatic, hydrological, marine, and related environmental applications and services.
(6) Advise the Management Group on the development of the Implementation Plan for the Region and the identification of the most urgent regional needs included in the WMO Strategic Plan.
