ToR for the Expert Team on Climate Services (ET-CLI)

(1) Foster the development of user-relevant climate services;
(2) Guide and support NMHSs, according to their needs, in the development, improvement and application of operational climate monitoring and prediction processes for the implementation of climate services;
(3) Promote and supervise activities of data rescue, digitization, automation, technological improvement, statistical analysis, data standardization and analysis of data from different technologies in the field of climate records in the Region, as a main input for the development of climate services;
(4) Guide, advise and supervise the implementation of national mechanisms (National Frameworks) for climate services;
(5) Work in coordination with the Regional Climate Centres to establish strategic alliances to strengthen climate services in the region;
(6) Support and/or coordinate with Regional Training Centres to implement regional capacity building agendas for the development and implementation of climate services in the region;
(7) Help implement products developed in the framework of regional projects.
