Resolution 3.1/2 (RA VI-19(I))
REGIONAL ASSOCIATION VI (EUROPE), decides:
(1) Follow up on the WMO Strategic Plan; the World Meteorological Congress, the Executive Council, SERCOM and RA VI resolutions, decisions and recommendations addressing services- and application-related matters, for the activities to be undertaken at a regional level, in cooperation with the other bodies of the RA for the relevant matters of common interest;
(2) Assist Members to enhance service delivery capabilities and enable effective implementation and compliance;
(3) Identify needs for new and improved services and analyse related capabilities among Members, and develop a road map and regional implementation plan to support improvements and support capacity-development activities;
(4) Facilitate, monitor and report on the implementation and uptake of services and applications, and of WMO standards and regulations, at national and regional levels, and support Members to comply with the regulations;
(5) Propose pilot and demonstration projects in the Region related to the provision of services;
(6) Facilitate the transfer of knowledge and best practices from developed to developing Members in the Region;
(7) Provide the RA VI president and the Management Group with a progress report, upon request, and a final report at least three months before the ordinary session of the Association;
(8) Continuously provide feedback to SERCOM on RA VI Members' requirements and needs, including contributing to the ongoing development and revision of the work plan of the Commission, as outlined in Resolution 2 (SERCOM-3), with future updates planned, such as its revision at SERCOM-4 in 2026;
(9) Plan activities in accordance with regional priorities and available resources.
