WMO Energy Side-Events at COP28

WMO Energy side events during COP28

COP 28 will take place from 30 November until 12 December 2023.  WMO supports the United Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) process and every year participates in sessions of the Conference of the Parties (COP), by providing the latest scientific advice and information to governments, including on the state of the climate and greenhouse gas concentrations. COP28 will be a milestone moment for global climate action. The COP28 Presidency’s two-week thematic program is geared towards responding to the Global Stocktake and closing the gaps to 2030. The Presidency has taken an inclusive approach to developing the thematic program. At the WMO-IPCC-MERI-NCM Pavilion, dedicated sessions will be allocated to the above-mentioned topics, with the aim of furthering the understanding of challenges, solutions, and opportunities for the climate change community.
