Regional Association IV Expert Team on Marine Meteorological and Oceanographic Services
Terms of Reference:
(1) Under the general guidance of Management Group carry out functions relating to the planning, implementation and evaluation of the technical programme activities related to marine and coastal services, of the Region. Specifically, this will include:
(a) Developing a common marine meteorological, oceanographic and coastal service delivery attributes,
(b) ensuring that linkages are made back to the larger WMO Standing Committee on Marine Meteorological and Oceanographic Services (SC-MMO), Expert Team on Maritime Safety (ET-MS), and Worldwide Met-Ocean Information and Warning Service (WWMIWS),
(c) ensuring Members are able to contribute to the met-ocean requirements,
(d) assisting Members to enhance marine meteorological, oceanographic and coastal service delivery capabilities and enable effective implementation and compliance;
(2) Monitor and update the definition of competency requirements and quality management approaches for marine meteorological, oceanographic and coastal services, and assist Members where possible in maintaining the requirements;
(3) Review and update user needs and requirements on marine meteorology, oceanographic and coastal services.
