Aviation | News | 2020-04-01 | Postponement of IWVA/8 due to COVID-19 pandemic
In light of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, WMO has taken the decision to postpone the Eighth International Workshop on Volcanic Ash (IWVA/8).
The workshop was due to be held in Reykjavik, Iceland in mid-October 2020.
Instead, IWVA/8 is now tentatively rescheduled to early October 2021 at the same location.
WMO will make a ‘pre-announcement’ soon. The ‘first announcement and call for abstracts’ will follow later this year.
