WMO expertise is contributing to the first Meteorological Technology World Expo Virtual 'Live' 2021 for Aviation Meteorology to be held on 24 March 2021, 1300-1500 UTC. 

The conference will provide a platform for aviation meteorologists, airline and airport operators, air navigation services and other key stakeholders to engage on important industry developments in aviation meteorology. 

Presentations will cover issues including scientific advancement supporting evolving service needs, aircraft-based observing systems, aviation research and development project, volcanic ash impacts on jet engines, and the evolution of the world area forecast system. These presentations will be followed by a moderated panel debate.
