Aviation | News | 2020-05-20 | WMO approves the establishment of a Standing Committee on Services for Aviation (SC-AVI)

Today, following an intensive period of (virtual) consultation with WMO Members and partner organizations, the Secretary-General of WMO has approved the establishment of a Standing Committee on Services for Aviation (SC-AVI).

Under the WMO Services Commission (SERCOM), the SC-AVI becomes the primary constituent body of WMO dealing with aeronautical meteorological service provision.
