HydroSOS Technical Development Team Meeting - Q4 2024
The HydroSOS Technical Development Team Meeting is being held in Oxford, UK, hosted by the UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology (UKCEH). The meeting brings together more than 30 participants (both face-to-face and virtually) from different national and regional institutions from around the world, who are involved in this Team.
Objectives of the meeting:
- Defining priority activities for HydroSOS technical development and their timeline
- Planning of the first phase of data infrastructure HydroSOS
- Defining requirements for the WMO Technical Commissions and discussing the relationship between HydroSOS and the Technical Commissions
- Follow up on the “status” methodologies for various variables and kickstart work on the “outlook” methodologies
- Integrating the annual products of the Water Report into a potentially monthly updated HydroSOS Portal, and discuss other potential products and data sources to fasten HydroSOS implementation – bottom up and top down.
