ASEANCOF-24 Overview

The ASEAN Climate Outlook Forum (ASEANCOF), established in 2013, serves as a platform to generate regional climate outlooks collaboratively, and supports decision-making processes to manage climate-related risks.
The 24th session of the ASEANCOF, hosted by Cambodia's Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology (MOWRAM), will focus on Heat Health
Forum Objectives
- Discuss and produce regional climate outlook consensus for Southeast Asia, with a focus on rainfall, temperature, tropical cyclones, and important climate drivers such as the El Niño-Southern Oscillation, Indian Ocean Dipole, and monsoon timing and strength
- Review the past season, including significant extreme events for the Southeast Asian countries
- Build capacity in and improve climate services for the region, including through sharing best practices, providing training workshops, and bringing together NMHSs and end users
