Expert Team on the development of the Guide on GDPFS (ET-Guide-1)
WMO Executive Council at its seventieth session (Resolution 26) endorsed the outlines of the Guide to the Global Data-Processing and Forecasting System (GDPFS) (WMO-No. 305), as per Annex 1 to the resolution, to ensure the necessary alignment with and provide further guidance to Members for the implementation of the revised the Manual on the GDPFS, and requested CBS to accelerate the development of the Guide to the GDPFS to facilitate the use of the revised Manual and to submit the Guide to the Eighteenth World Meteorological Congress for approval.
To meet the above request the new WMO Technical Commission for Observation, Infrastructures and Information Systems (INFCOM) established the Expert Team on the development of the Guide on GDPFS (ET-Guide) under Standing Committee on Data Processing for Applied Earth System Modelling and Prediction (SC-ESMP). In this context, ET-Guide organizes its first meeting.
