Launch of the European State of the Climate 2023 (ESOTC 2023) report

In early January the Copernicus Climate Change Service (C3S) confirmed in their latest Global Climate Highlights report, that following a streak of records in various key climate indicators, in 2023 the planet experienced the hottest year on record. The State of Global Climate report by the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) confirms the 2023 as hottest year on record by clear margin. In this context, C3S and WMO are joining forces to dive into the European climate and unveil its evolution and impact on people’s lives.
