RA VI RCC Coordination Team - Third Meeting Highlights

The RA VI RCC Coordination Team held its third meeting online on December 3, 2024, focusing on improving engagement and planning through user forums. 

The team discussed organizing a workshop to enhance RCC operations, including Research-to-Operations processes, expanding services like sub-seasonal forecasts, and addressing user needs. They also discussed the establishment of a Regional Climate Forum in Central Europe and the need to develop tailored communications to emphasize its benefits. 

The team also discussed improving data management, focusing on improving visibility of NMHS-provided climatological data and exploring RCC-generated averages for countries without such datasets. 

The team agreed to reduce meetings frequency to bi-monthly or quarterly for efficiency and focus its next meeting on workshop planning and feedback from the RA VI Management Group. 

Action items included preparing a workshop concept note, conducting member surveys, and addressing data gaps collaboratively.
